Bobcat Mini-Excavator 3 Day Course Outline



1 Day Training Program (Beginner) - Price: $500.00+GST


Overall Machine and Jobsite Safety  • General Bobcat Maintenance • Engaging and Disengaging Attachments • Safe Control, Operation, and Hazard Assessment.


Day 1: Our students day will consist of instruction in general machine safety and safe operation practices with the Bobcat, including basic machine maintenance procedures. Proper Pre-Inspection Procedure, and the Hazards Involved with equipment operation. Students will spend the entire day in the machine learning how to operate the controls, how to engage and disengage machine attachments and becoming familiar with the Bobcat. Students will also be instructed on how to properly load the Bobcat for transport, and the use of proper Tie Down Assemblies. This course is designed to provide practical Bobcat operation experience. The day will be concluded with a hands on, in-machine test of their abilities. After a successful completion of the test, a certificate of completion of training will be awarded, along with a laminated Completion of Training Card that is valid for a period of 3 years from the date of completion.



5 Day Residential/Commercial Grade Training Program - Price: $4000.00+GST


Overall Machine and Jobsite Safety • Machine Maintenance Procedures • Engaging and Disengaging Attachments • Knowledge in Safe Control, Operation, and Transport • Rough Grades • Basic Knowledge of How to Grade and Cut to Stake With a Blade • Small Business Practices


Day 1: Our students day will consist of instruction in general machine safety and safe operation practices with the Bobcat, including basic machine maintenance procedures. Proper Pre-Inspection Procedure, and the Hazards Involved with equipment operation. Students will spend the entire day in the machine learning how to operate the controls, how to engage and disengage machine attachments and becoming familiar with the Bobcat. Students will also be instructed on how to properly load the Bobcat for transport, and the use of proper Tie Down Assemblies.


Day 2: Our students second day will consist of a refresher of day one and will begin learning rough grades in accordance with city by-laws. Students will spend the entire day in the machine.


Day 3: Our students third day will consist of a combination of days one and two, ensuring that our students are well trained in the aspects of safety, and safe operation of the Bobcat. Students will then begin learning how to read property stakes, and basic comprehension of property stakes, including how to grade and cut to stake with a blade. All instruction is in accordance with city by-laws. Students will spend the entire day in the machine. Day three will also include an introduction to small business practices, and starting your own business.


Day 4: Our students fourth day will consist of a review of days one through three. Day four, students will apply their knowledge in grading and reading property stakes, becoming familiar with these practices. Students will spend the entire day in the machine. Day four will conclude with further information on running a small business and a Q&A session. 


Day 5: Our students fifth day will consist of a combination of days one through four. Day five, students will continue applying their knowledge in grading and reading property stakes, becoming more familiar with these practices. Students will spend the entire day in the machine. Day five will be concluded with a hands on, in-machine test of their abilities. After a successful completion of the test, a certificate of completion of training will be awarded, in addition all our students are provided a training manual covering all training. Included in this manual are contact lists and information on starting a small business.


10 Day Residential/Commercial Grade Training Program - Price $7000.00


Overall Machine and Jobsite Safety • Hazard Assesment Procedure • Machine Maintenance Procedures • Engaging and Disengaging Attachments • Knowledge in Safe Control, Operation, and Transport • Rough Grades • Small Business Practices • Advanced Knowledge Training in Residential/Commercial Rough Grades • Residential/Commercial Final Grade Training • Advanced Attachment Training • Site Preparation and Material Estimation Practices. 


Day 1: Our students 1st day will consist of instruction in general machine safety and safe operation practices with the Bobcat, including basic machine maintenance procedures. Proper Pre-Inspection Procedure, and the Hazards Involved with equipment operation. Students will spend the entire day in the machine learning how to operate the controls, how to engage and disengage machine attachments and becoming familiar with the Bobcat. Students will also be instructed on how to properly load the Bobcat for transport, and the use of proper Tie Down Assemblies.

All instruction is in accordance with city by-laws. Students will spend the entire day in the machine. Day three will also include an introduction to small business practices, and the steps involved in starting your own business.


Day 4: Our students 4th day will consist of a combination of days one, two, and three. Day four, students will begin applying their knowledge in grading and reading property stakes, becoming familiar with these practices. Students will spend the entire day in the machine.


Day 5: Our students 5th day will consist of a combination of days one through four. Day five, students will continue applying their knowledge in grading and reading property stakes, becoming more familiar with these practices. Students will spend the entire day in the machine. Day five will be concluded with a hands on, in-machine test of their abilities.


Day 6: Our students 6th day will consist of a review of days one through five. Day six, students will be introduced to final grade requirements. Day six will also instruct students on the importance of Safe Operation Practices, and Jobsite Awareness. 


Day 7: Our students 7th day will consist of a review of all prior days, ensuring each student can apply all training provided thus far. Day seven, students will receive further Final Grade instruction, and will begin learning about various attachments, and choosing the correct attachment for each job.


Day 8: Our students 8th day all students will continue applying their knowledge in grading and reading property stakes, Site Preparation, Material Estimation Practices becoming familiar with these practices, and will receive further instruction on how to pass a final grade inspection, in accordance with city by-laws. Students will spend All Day in the machine. 


Day 9: Our students 9th day will consist of a review of all previous days in preparation for their completion test.   


Day 10: Our students 10th day will consist of a review of all previous days. Day Ten Students will prepare for their completion test, applying all the knowledge and skills learned thus far. Students will spend the entire day in the machine. Day Ten will be concluded with a hands on, in-machine test of their abilities. Upon Successfully passing this test, our students are provided a Certificate of Completion of Advanced Training, and a Laminated Training Card that is Valid for a Period of 3 years from the date of issue.
